1. Introduction

These terms and conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the Bear Packaging website (bear-packaging.co.uk) and the purchase of products from Bear Packaging (“we”, “our”, “us”). By accessing our website, registering an account, placing an order, or requesting a quote, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our website.

We are Bear Packaging, a company registered in England and Wales (Company No. 12345678), whose registered office is at 12 New John Street, Bradford, BD1 2QY. Our VAT number is GB123456789.

2. Definitions

“Customer” – any person or business placing an order with us.

“Trade Account” – an approved credit account with agreed payment terms.

“Quote” – a written estimate for goods or services valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise.

“Products” – packaging goods supplied by Bear Packaging, including refuse sacks, carrier bags, and rubble sacks.

“Working day” – Monday to Friday, excluding UK public holidays.

“VAT” – Value Added Tax chargeable in the United Kingdom at the prevailing rate.

3. Orders & Acceptance

All orders are subject to acceptance and availability. An order acknowledgement does not constitute acceptance – acceptance occurs when we dispatch the goods and send a confirmation. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order before dispatch, in which case any payment taken will be refunded in full.

Prices are in British Pounds (GBP) and are shown inclusive of VAT unless you select “ex VAT” pricing on the site. Prices and product specifications may change without notice. Where we accept an order from a customer who later turns out to be under 18, the contract is voidable at our option.

4. Payment

Payment is required in full at the point of order unless you hold an approved trade account with credit terms. We accept major credit and debit cards, and bank transfers. Invoices for trade accounts are due within the terms agreed in your credit agreement (e.g. Net 7, Net 14, Net 30). Late payment may incur statutory interest under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998 and a debt recovery charge.

5. Delivery

Delivery charges and timescales are estimates and not guaranteed. We are not liable for delays caused by carriers, adverse weather, or events outside our control. Free UK delivery applies to qualifying orders over £150 (ex VAT) to mainland UK addresses only. Pallet and offshore deliveries may incur additional charges. Delivery is kerbside unless agreed otherwise.

Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery. Title in the goods remains with Bear Packaging until payment has been received in full. You must inspect deliveries promptly and report any damage, shortage, or defect within 48 hours.

6. Returns & Cancellations

You may cancel an order and return unused, unopened products in their original packaging within 30 days of delivery for a full refund, in line with the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. Custom-printed, bespoke, or made-to-order items cannot be returned unless faulty. Returns authorisation must be obtained before sending goods back. See our Returns Policy for full details.

7. Product Information & Specifications

We make every effort to ensure product descriptions, specifications, and images are accurate. However, colours and dimensions may vary slightly between production batches. If precise specification is critical to your application, please contact our team before ordering. We reserve the right to modify product specifications without notice and to supply an equivalent alternative where necessary. Product images may be representative and not to scale.

8. Trade Accounts & Credit

Trade accounts are subject to application, credit checks, and approval. We may suspend or close accounts at our discretion, including for misuse, late payment, or breach of terms. Credit limits, pricing tiers, and payment terms are agreed separately in your trade agreement. Prices shown for trade accounts may differ in real-time based on logged-in status. 9. Quotes

Written quotes are valid for 30 days from issue unless stated otherwise. A quote is an offer to supply – it does not guarantee availability or price beyond the validity period. Accepted quotes are converted into orders subject to these Terms.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from your use of our website or the supply of products shall not exceed the total amount paid by you for the goods in question. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, loss of profit, loss of business, or loss of contracts, except where caused by our negligence or where liability cannot be excluded by law (including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud).

11. Intellectual Property

All content on this website – including text, graphics, logos, product photography, and layout – is owned by Bear Packaging and protected by UK and international copyright laws. You may not reproduce, republish, or distribute any content without our prior written permission. “Bear Packaging” and associated marks are trademarks of Bear Packaging.

13. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

Any disputes arising in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. The United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods does not apply.
